TOURS & EXCURSIONS IN YEKATERINBURG

1. City tour: Russia’s third capital-Yekaterinburg acquaints with the modern town – one of the largest industrial, scientific, cultural and sport centers of Russia. You will visit our main historical sights: the Historical Square, wooden Dam of the first iron-making plant, Monument to Lenin, places connected with the name of the first Russian President – Boris Eltsin. There are modern trade centers, fabulous merchants’ houses of “the gold rush” (XVIII century)

2. The last days of the last «Russian tsar» with a visit of a majestic Memorial Cathedral on the-Blood in the name of all Saints that was built on the place of execution of the last Russian tsar Nikolay II and his family and trip to Ganina Pit to the unique orthodox monastery constructed on the place of the initial burial place of imperial remains. Tourists will see and visit six wooden churches surrounded with a centuries-old pine forest.

3. Excursion to an obelisk «Border of Europe and Asia». A tour to a column - obelisk established on a geographical joint of two parts of the world. According to an old tradition tourists drink a glass of champagne at this place and take it home. On the way to the borderline one can visit the Memorial in honor of victims under Stalin’s repressions of 30-50^th.

4. Excursion to the Siberian countryside /Koptelovo village/ The way of our visitors lays to the ancient Ural village Koptelovo, based in the 17 century and still keeping the initial way of life. Ancient Russian wooden houses there were made without nails. There one can visit a horse court yard and slide on the sledge. Tourist can taste the Ural potato pies prepared by old “babushkas”.

5. One-day tour to Cordon "Plate" /horse-riding/. Our tourists will visit a picturesque place with a cozy house in the fantastic forest. They will reach the Cordon by sledge or “troika”. On the way the visitors will go through a birch grove by horses, enjoy the mysterious silence and all beauty of the Urals nature, admire the purest lake “Crystal” hidden deep in the forest, surrounded by tall pine trees.

6. Tsar’s amusement: a falconry /HUNTING SHOW/!Tourists will ride a horse in a quiet birch-tree forest, forest path will take them to the Center of rehabilitation and monitoring of birds of prey. This Center is a place where they rehabilitate sick birds and grow such birds of prey as goshawks, kestrels, falcons, quail-shooters, common buzzards, steppe eagles etc. After the excursion in an open-air cage and ornithological lecture our tourists will take part in a HUNTING SHOW: hunting, attack of a victim… Later tourists will ride a horse again to the forester’s house and will enjoy delicious lunch and listen to the life-stories of foresters.

7. “The cradle of Demidovs Empire-Nevyansk” Our visitors will get acquainted with the legends and myths of the capital of the powerful Demidovs empire. The town is called Nevyansk. Tourists will visit a pearl of the town, a unique monument of the architecture, which keeps a lot of secrets – the inclined Nevyansk tower, constructed in 1725. You will see an acoustical room, secret laboratory, stone casemates. In the second part of day – visit to a village Byn'gi and one of the most magnificent in Ural Church of St. Nicholas (1797), the ancient centre of ceramics and private ceramic workshop where you will have a chance to inhale life in a piece of clay, and also will get a souvenir in memory of this remarkable experience.

11.“Summer Hiking in region of rocks, rivers and caves» - 5 kilometer tour is laid on a bank of the most remarkable river in Russia . The unique river Chusovaya flows simultaneously in two parts of the world, there are myths and legends about its beauty. Tourists will learn its history and will see the ancient rocks with unusual names.

12. Ecological excursion «Caves and lakes of a national park «The Deers` Streams». The route (12 or 25 km depending on a choice) runs along wooden paths which were made 200 years ago by the first plant owners of the Urals. Also, the most courageous tourists can explore one of the biggest cave in the Urals "Friendship" hidden from extraneous eyes among rocks. Those who choose the longer route, can go 50-meter down to «the Great Fall» where snow does not melt even in summer...

13. «Mountaineering tour to the Devil`s Rock». Tourists will see sharp ridges of almost impassable rocks, and only with the support of the skilled instructor will they manage to climb the highest of the mountains of the Middle Urals. In July and August in pine and birch taiga forest it is possible to gather mushrooms and plenty of tasty bilberry.

14. Middle-level rafting on catamarans along the superficial and quiet rivers Chusovaia or Serga which channels pass between the Ural mountains where tourists will get the opportunity to see beauty of the Urals nature, to admire the rocks and bends of the rivers, to catch fish for fish soup, to pick up mushrooms and berry for dinner. Tourists are supplied with the necessary equipment.

15.Cross-country skiing: a ski walk with the skilled ski – instructor in the beautiful winter forest. After the snow and frost it is pleasant to relax in aroma of pitch fire wood to feel heat of the fire place, to drink some well-known Russian vodka and to eat cooked potato with onion and herring.

16.«Features of the Ural fishing in winter time» - We offer an unforgettable experience of real winter fishing! Tourist will see a fishing round for pike and white fish, visit Russian banya (sauna) and drive snowmobiles. Fishing equipment is provided.

17. «Khaski dog sledding up to the Devil`s Rock » is the unique and fascinating tour. Tourists will be accompanied by a skilled instructor who will acquaint them with the rules how to manage dogs sledge, let them run the sledge on fresh snow. The instructor then will fry a shish kebab and will tell many cheerful stories about the dog’s life. Tourists will be supplied with sheepskin coats and warm overalls so that they would not get cold on their way.
