VISIT-URAL-SIBERIA is glad to offer a NEW approach to the sightsing to our tourists: new themes, new places, new names.

Our NEW tour: " Iron tour or Alexander von Humboldt and other famous Germans in Ural and Siberia" acquaints guests with the history of Ural treasure - "the purest" iron in the world and the contribution of distinguished Germans to the development of Mining, Metallurgy, Mineralogy in Ekaterinburg and other Ural and Siberian cities. Our tourists will learn about one of Ekaterinburg's Founders - Vilim Ivanovich de Gennin, who was a German-born engineer, the Head of the Mining Office and started the construction of the Plant-Fortress "Ekaterinburg" according to the German model.
Alexander von Humboldt, a proffessor of the University in Berlin, was invited to Ekaterinburg to make researches in Mineralogy and gathered a collection of the Ural minerals. E. Rossel, an ex-governer of Sverdlovsk oblast, supported Russian-German relations in technical and cultural spheres. An architect Johann von Banner, a first rector of the Mining University Peter von Weimart are the names well-known in Germany and  in Ekaterinburg as well. Our Brewry Patra produces its world known beer on German equipment, our citizens live in the houses resembling old Germany which were built by prisoners of war...

Our tourists will visit the unique exposition of the museum of local lore, where they will learn about archeological monuments of the iron era. A blacksmith with a beard wearing a leather apron will meet his guests and show the way to an old forge. Tourists will see with their own eyes the way how heated metal changes its shape.

The program includes a visit to  a restaurant-museum "Demidov" where the hall is decorated with marvelous cast-iron; there are bear-skins on the benches and on the floor, glasses with alcoholic beverage with a honey flavor( "medovuha") are on the trays.
